Brother Howard was
born in Elizabeth, NJ in 1955. He graduated from
Edison Vocational and Technical High School of
Elizabeth, in 1973. Upon graduation he enlisted
in the Marine Corps, where he did a four year
stint. He achieved the rank of sergeant before
being honorably discharged. Brother Howard
returned to Elizabeth and became a welder until
his appointment on 6 July 82, to the Elizabeth
Fire Department. He is currently the MPO of
Engine # 3. He is certified in firefighting and
hazmat. He has several unit citations for fire
life rescues. He also is a founding member of
the Vulcan Society. His hobbies include, but not
limited to, contemporary amatory art and
metallurgy.
